Movie Factory 7 stopped showing .jpg's?

Post by lencuff »

For some reason, MF7 won't show .jpg files when I try to create a slideshow. They just appear as white boxes with a small logo in
the middle and if I try to add any I get a message saying it can't read the file details? Slide shows I have previously created are still
OK.
W7 32 bit Pro. Is this some kind of association problem? In file explorer, all my .jpg's are showing what I can only describe as a small
green icon in the lower left corner. Can't think of anything I have installed lately to cause this problem though.

Ok I've found a workaround but would like the correct solution! If I associate .jpg with MF7 and double click on one then MF7 opens
with the .jpg displayed correctly and I can then carry on and create a slideshow as before but this isn't the right way of using this product!!

What does your system currently have jpeg files associated with? There are a couple of different types of jpeg, one being a progressive jpeg. DVD MF and VS seem to not like this type of compression. What photo editing programs do you have? Try taking one of your problematic photos, and saving it to the standard jpeg, then see if DVD MF sees it.
