Color Adjustments

Hi All,
Could someone tell me where I could find a tutorial or maybe someone tell me how its possible to get my 3 minute clip do show all the same brightness,I mean I have 2 out of 5 scenes that are darker and would like to bring them up to the same brightness as the other lighter ones.Do I have to edit each scene individually with my video filter or can I do this in one hit that I get all of my scenes all of the same brightness.I am using VS 9.

I'd start by applying the Auto Exposure video filter. It has no settings, it just normalizes all the scenes in a given clip. If you have to do this to multiple clips then each needs an instance of the filter.
