It could be a bad Installation, corrupt Registry Key, damaged File, or many other possibilities. In most cases you should Uninstall, Delete the Ulead System Folders along with all contents, empty the Recycle Bin, reboot the computer, then reinstall the software package, and if all goes well your program works.

Before reinstallation, turn off your Anti-virus, Firewall, Screen Saver, and any other programs running in the background.

The two Ulead System Folders are located at, if running XP, C:\Documents and Setting\your name\Application Data\Ulead Systems, and C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems.

hey keenart, there isn´t anything wrong with installation, but looking at the instalation dates, I think that Uleag Gif Animator has not been updated since year 2002. Many files are from 1999 ???? and the main program date is from 22-jan-2002??????? How can u explain?

Maybe you need to update program, as we have now windows XP+Sp2, and maybe program not compatible with SP2.

A broken record!! But you are very entertaining!!!

So you are saying; If GA worked with XP Service Pack 1, but all of a sudden it doesn’t work with SP2, you are blaming Ulead because Microsoft changed the programming language making Uleads application crash because Ulead has not updated its application quick enough for you to avoid the recent crashes!!

I don’t follow your logic!

The present problems with the programming language will not go away for sometime. All motherboards will have to conform; all devices, all drivers, all programs, applications, utilities, and the OS programming language will have to become stable enough to reflect use with all of the above.

I wonder how many Millions of THINGS will have to conform to Microsoft’s requirements before they work to Perfection!!

You are Barking up the Wrong Tree!! Go to the Source and fix the problem, then everyone’s apps will work just fine!!

I will never buy a soft that has not been updated since 2002!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! soft too old for the competitive market, I was thinking to buy, not now.

its a problem with gif animator being incompatible with the latest 3ivx codec which causes it to crash find the 3ivx.dll in your system32 folder and rename it to 3ivx.dll.bak and GA should run again

3ivxDSEncoder.ax might also cause this but mainly it will slow down the start up but it can be disabled by renaming it also

if you need these codecs you can just restore them again
