I am using VSP X4. In trying to blur or pixelate a face in a video, I first copied the video from the main track onto the overlay track. I then added crop and with keyframes followed the face. I then added the pixelate filter and adjusted. It seems no matter how I adjust the pixelate sliders, the finished product is a very minimal blur and you can still identify the person (I am using a video of me for practice). I have left trancparency at zero in the Mask and Chroma key section. What am I doing wrong?
On the same topic, is there a way to hide the face with color rather than pixelate?

Re: Face blur not working.
About the blur, unfortunately that's the best blur that you can get, you can try using the MOSAIC Filter or the AVERAGE filter
That's just a suggestion, I bet others will have a better suggestion than this.
You can use the PIP or picture-in-picture filter as an overlay then containing a solid color then just move that overlay that will cover the face or the object that you want to hide.budbon wrote:...Is there a way to hide the face with color rather than pixelate?

Re: Face blur not working.
I think I found my trouble. I changed the chroma key color in the cropping options and got the desired effect.
