Hi, all, I am new with X4 and with Corel software.
I just want to ask you why I am unable to choose my custom resolution?
I try to share my video with MP4 format, and I am using custom settings but user defined resolution is not available.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi
You could read the post Please Read This Before Posting gives details of the information we require, a bit more information

You mention Custom Mpeg4 and a resolution.
What video properties are you trying to set?

Re: Custom resolution problem
Operating System - Windows 7
System Drive - C:
32bit or 64bit - 64 bit
Motherboard - Gigabyte z68x-ud3h-b3
Processor - Intel Core i5-2500k - 4.5Ghz
Ram - 2x2GB DDR3 1600Mhz
Video Card - Galaxy GTX 470
Sound Card - onboard
Hard Drive Capacity - 2x320GB
So, I just try to make my own template. I want to change the resolution and the bit rate of the clip that I will export.
So, i do the following - SHARE, CREATE VIDEO FILE, CUSTOM, MPEG-4 FIles (*.mp4, *.m4v), OPTION, GENERAL. There used-defined frame size is unavailable.
I just want to make some clips with high resolution but not with 19-20k bitrate because its too much for me.

Hi
Sorry to repeat myself, but you tell us what you don’t want, you are not saying what properties you are trying to create.
Your original video file, right click a clip in the library and select properties what are they?
From the Compression tab try H264 Main
Change the data rate, again what are you wanting to use?
General tab, what frame size do you want to use, I see several options.
If your preferred frame size is not available try making a MOV file to Mpeg4 Visual, this type allows you to User Define the size.

Re: Custom resolution problem
I am trying to produce a clip with 1280x720 or 1920x1080 res. but with only 6000-7000bitrate.
Also I think that my rendering speed is very low. I multi trimmed video and now I have 6 clips in total 2.23 minutes.
No matter which output format I choose I render this 2.23 minutes for a long time. Considering my CPU I think this is soooo slow.
I enabled all the accelerations in options. I am trying to make video which is 1920x1080 and 20Mbps bitrate to 1280x720 and 8000Mbps bitrate.
For 2.23 video my rendering time is 6-7 minutes which is not good at all...

Re: Custom resolution problem
If selecting any of the option on the CREATE VIDEO FILE, cannot customize the resolution, I suggest that you create your own movie template.

Re: Custom resolution problem
Hi
I am able to create a template to these Mp4 settings:-
MPEG-4 Files
24 bits, 1280 x 720, 25 fps
Frame-based
H.264 Main Profile Video: 5000 Kbps
44100 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo
MPEG AAC Audio: 128 Kbps
However using 1920 x 1080 is possible with a bitrate of 6000.
We need to know the properties of the original video file, the frame rate is important as not all templates support all frame rates.
Can you tell us what you intend to use the video for, if the internet then there may be other options to try, Quicktime Mov or Flash.
The option Upload to Web – Youtube HD will produce this, assuming you are Pal

Rendering times will differ depending on which template you use.
When you Share Create video File, is Same as First Clip available to you?
