Post by dainova »

Hi,

Is there any secret encoding I have to look for ?
Somebody told me that X3 will eat any format.

The problem is that .avi is merely a wrapper format (apart from raw .avi). That is to say, the extension is used by a huge range of video formats, ranging from large semi-umcompressed formats like DV/AVI (13 GB per hour of video) to highly compressed mpeg-4 formats like DivX or XVid. We have no idea which yours might be. So please right click on one of the files in the VS timeline or library window, and copy ALL its properties here...

If you already have the video file then you can follow these steps in order to create a DVD compatible disc.
-----
1. Click on "Create Disc" and choose DVD Factory 7SE.
2. DVD Factory 7SE will open. Select the option "Start Project" and then choose DVD or Blu-ray as your project type. If you want to create an 3. AVCHD disc, choose DVD and then choose AVCHD as the project format.
4. Click on "Next" and then, in the top right-hand corner of your screen, click on "Add Video Files".
5. Choose the video that you created in steps 3, 4 or 5. and click on "Open".
6. You will have the option to edit your project. If you don't want to do any further editing, click on "Next".
7. You can choose a menu system for your disc, edit it and preview it in this Window. Once you are finished, click on "Next".
8. You can choose the options for burning your project in this window. Once you are finished, click on "Burn" to burn your project to a disc.

Abiel -- he doesn't have any problem burning a DVD as such. It's just that it has no audio.
