Hello. First time on here, and I was wondering if anyone can help, as I cannot find a similar problem sourced on the net.
I have Ulead VS11+ (Old, I know!)... but all was working fine. Then, suddenly, it wouldn't allow me to import images into the timeline, or use transition effects etc. I've un-installed, deleted files, then re-installed from disc, (even tried the older version ... and it's the same thing. I get a "These files connot be added to this project. These files maybe of unknown file format, the computer does not have enough memory, or the file maybe copyright protected."
I have 2Gb of RAM, AMD Athalon 64x2 Dual core 4800+ 250GHz, and tons of free disc space.
Does anyone have a clue? Or a solution?
I await your replies with desperation. Cheers in advance. It's baffled me.
Hi. Thanks for the speedy response. I am using simple jpeg images. I went into folder options, on control panel, and switched to default, (Windows XP)... and it seems to have solved the image import problem. I'm still left with the transition problem though. I've placed a couple of different ones in the mix, and they won't show up on playback, and when I attempt to save it, a popup appears saying, "Unable to load library. [19151:3:3]" Stranger and stranger. Any idea why this would also solve the image import? THanks again.
I hadn’t noticed that you are running Vista, I would think that VS 11 is not compatible, unfortunately I do not have this version and check. I think some users are successfully using VS 11 and Vista.
Corel no longer support VS 11, there was a patch available, although not sure what it cured.
UVS11_Patch_Eng122507-03.exe.
With the added problem of the transitions I would assume the problem may be a Vista issue?

There have been some problems using Jpeg types with “Progressive” rather than “Baseline”.
The later being the norm.

Unable to load library.
You could try resetting the Library, the newer versions X2 etc allow for Library Restore, VS 11 has to be done manually
For XP go to, should be similar location using Vista.
C:\Documents and Settings\Trevor\Application Data\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio\11.0
Close Video Studio 11
Rename the folder “11.0” to “11.0 copy”
Restart Video Studio should create a new folder, the program will revert to its default/first installed state.
Thank you very very much! Renaming the folder to "11.0 copy" worked! I don't understand why, but it did! Thanks greatly!
I live near Castleford. I didn't notice my profile had me as Vista, but I'm using XP for this purpose. Windows 7 Premium is on my laptop, and that allows Ulead 11 on, but it can't deal with iPhone HD videos, but it seems fine on XP for some reason.
Cheers again mate.
Aaaaandd... it's reverted back to the very same problems! I haven't changed anything, so I can't see what the problem is. Aaargh! I've deleted the software, and searched for any files etc from Ulead, and deleted them all, then re-installed it afresh, but it still won't allow effects/transitions, or any image imports. I've renamed the folder again, but nothing is making it work. I'm almost at my wit's end. Do you think there is a solution? Or is my PC in another dimension? Cheers in advance.
P.S... As well as being from Yorkshire, my name is also Trevor!
Thanks. How would I get hold of that patch then? I did search the net, and found nothing, as you said, it is no longer supported. Maybe that's the problem. It needs updates and patches, and a Windows update I installed has made it no longer compatible.
