(I had also to choose 25 fps in order to get PAL Video, as we use this in EU)As a work-round----Change the project properties to use 1920 x 1080 and your images will be 1920 x 1080.
Settings-Project Properties (Alt+Enter)
Edit File Format ---Microsoft Avi Files
Edit
Avi Tab
Compression to Microsoft Video 1 (there may be others you can use—Div X ??)
General Tab
Frame Size---User Defined to 1920 x 1080
Ok now the screen shots should all use the larger image size.
It works, but ! get a awful noisy, snowy preview.
I discovered that the noise dissappears there where a title is underneath in the timeline.
And it dissappears also when:
- played in the Clip-playback mode or when moving the slider underneath the previewwindow while a clip is selected
- a filter has been applied onto a clip.
So it hasn't do to with the performance of the hardware I guess.
What then can be the point of this issue?
Putting on Smart Proxy didn't work at all (there were even not proxyfiles generated in the assigned proxyfolder!)
Regards, Jan.
EDIT: Also the snapshots were noisy. I did the following workaround: via trackmanager I created a second title-track. I made a title -- black point with size 1 point and dragged it in the corner of the previewwindow. It is hardly visible. I stretched the titleclip underneath the entire project. For this it works, the playback looks good now but it is occupying the entire second title track.
Yet the question is: is there a better way to resolve this?
I also enlarged the pagefile to twice the RAM-amount (initial value 4096 Mb; maximum value 8192 Mb).
