Not really a Corel problem but i hope that here are professionals that can help.
I have canon legria HFR 106 http://www.expertreviews.co.uk/camcorde ... ifications
Problem is setting of the best resolution:
-FULL HD is making these horizontal lines (every other pixel line) if something moves in the picture so its not good
- lower camera setting makes the resolution to 1440x1080 which is 4:3 !! that's not the ratio of today (and youtube) and i didn't even realize it because video studio has 16:9 project settings and the ratio of outputted video seems right?
- Compared these: video 4:3, project 16:9, still images from another camera 4:3 -> fail
what do you recommend, is there a way to get full resolution better without those lines or other way to 16:9 ?
2. Also only recent and fast opening player to play those camera raw videos (.mts) is VLC-player. Is there a way to get it open those videos in zoom mode of 50% or 33% and not 100% they goes over my screen every time!

Re: video resolution problem
Hi
First of all 1440 x 1080 produces widescreen video using 16:9 ratio.
Yes the pixel dimensions reflect 4:3 but a process called Non Square Pixel Rendering stretches the pixels to a 16:9 shape. The same effect is used for 16:9 standard definition 720 x 576 (for pal) is stretched to 16:9 shape
If you upload the 1440 x 1080 to video studio it should look like widescreen not 4:3, as you say it should look right and it does.
Horizontal lines is usually an indication of a field order problem Upper Field and Lower Field
HD would use Upper Field.
What version of video studio are you using?
Does the problem show using the original video or after you have converted the video.
From the timeline Right click on an original video file and select properties, what are they?
If you have converted/rendered the video, what options did you choose?

Re: video resolution problem
Now i see that playing the video of 1440x1080 is 16:9 - stupid me and thank you Trevor for your quick help
so the real problem was that i tought that it was also my playpack resolution and cropped the still photos into that shape so there was a black sides coz they were 4:3 but video 16:9
My problem will be fixed now when I start to shoot 16:9 still photos and crop the old photos to that shape before using them in video.
With the resolution setting, camera had another setting, frame rate
50i (Standard)
25
the 50i standard gives the lines with moving picture, so it was not the 1920 resolution.

Re: video resolution problem
Videostudio is X4 14.1.0.107
and problem was with original video only (seems like it with quick export test)
http://bayimg.com/NAkmGAAdm
But i think (just think) that using th 50i makes the moving high-contrast edges more blurry. so think that i keep the 25fps on on the future...
