DVD movie factory on a MAC

Post by rogermal »

I'm a Mac user and would love to have a program like DVD movie Pro to author my DVD's. Yes, I know I could run it under windows/parallel desktop but it would be great to have native mac program. Is Corel aware that there is no DVD authoring software available on the Mac? None! Apple had a great little program called iDVD. It worked great and had loads of templates. Apple, in it's wisdom has ceased production of this program leaving a huge gap in the editing process.

This is really a user-to-user forum, and although there are a couple of Corel employees that participate, it's not a good place to send suggestions to Corel.

I didn't know that! I'm surprised, since The Mac is kind-of known for audio/video work. I guess there isn't much demand for it? In the past there was... I think DVD Studio Pro existed before anything was available for Windows, and there was Adobe Encore for both the Mac and Windows..

Adobe Encore may have "evolved" into another product, but it was always more "profe$$ional" than Move Factory.

P.S.
DVDStyler is available for the Mac. It's multi-platform and open source (FREE!!!) so you might want to give it a try.

Thanks for the response. I was aware that this forum is user to user. I just couldn't find anyway to contact Corel so I resorted to posting here. Just wondered if I get any feedback or bump into other Mac users

Like DVDDoug, I know Mac caters to professional who works with audio/video, that's why I (personally) assumed they have everything covered. Anyway, I will surely forward your concern to the proper channel. So that they can at least take a look into it.

Thanks again,
