Re: trevor i need help from you
Yes, I think that's sufficient enough. You can also create the HD file first then just upload the video later and upload it without using videoStudio.

Hi Kobra76
First I tried replying to your PM regarding the Canon D7 details, unfortunately the PM failed as did an E-mail.
I can only assume your e-mail address in your forum profile is corrupt, not working.
Can you please provide a working e-mail address.
Select the User Control Panel link (top left) Then from the Overview tab Edit account Settings—Email address
Your camera and Youtube
Looking at this sample on you tube (canon 550d film look test) shows the frame having additional black bars top and bottom. Similar to panorama-scope is the best I can describe it.
However I don’t know how you created this actual file.
Other samples seem to have the correct aspect
Your camera records to three different quality settings, 1920 x 1080, 1280 x 720 and 640 x 480. fps25
Can you provide details of the one you are using.?
When you convert any video you are best to keep the frame size, aspect ratio, frame order and frame rate the same as original.
Using 640 x 480 and you Upload to Youtube as 16:9 may cause the black borders.
The other two formats 1920x1080 and 1280x720 should be ok to use Upload to Youtube 16:9
Video Studio provides many standard templates, if these are not suitable then use Make Movie Templates Manager to create your own template.

Re: trevor i need help from you
hi trevor,The YouTube video I made specifically to be like that with a black line up and down because that i called it the film effect.
Ishot in 1920-1080 24FPS I just noticed that the video has flecks and no flow streaming, so I thought maybe it's because rendering but it can be also due to the card. I will update My e-mail soon
Thank you

Re:Not smooth picture when doing pan
Hi
You may be best to use 25 fps rather than 24 fps (23.976) assuming you are using Pal.
Choosing Upload to Youtube will use 25fps 1280 x 720 effectively down-scaling the 1980 video
If this is your desired output then you may as well use the camera to record to these settings.
Choosing Share Create Video File Mpeg4 HD will use 30 fps. 1980 x 1080
Either option will add additional frames to your video, possibly noticeable during playback
VS doesn't do 24fps as a sandard template
You should use Make Movie Templates Manager to create a template compatible with the original video properties.
The option Share Create Video File –Same as First Video is not available to you as VS does not recognise the Mov H264 compression
The quality of the video look quite good, I don’t see any Flecks, maybe I don’t understand what you mean? As for Flow Streaming, if you mean it downloads as its playing, I have no problems.
The only quality issue would be the highlights (white areas) being over exposed (burnt out)
But decide whether you are gonna upload 1980 x 1080 or 1280 x 720.

Re: Not smooth picture when doing pan
Hi Kobra
Sorry for missing your last reply, however we still need details of your original video files properties.
You give a list of all the types, which one are you intending to use.
As its for the internet, 1280 x 720 x 25 fps would be a good format at least to start with. You must use 25 fps
Now what are details of the final rendered video file, what are their properties.? what template are you choosing to render the project?
Before uploading the video to You Tube, place clip in the timeline, right click and select properties What are they?

Re: Not smooth picture when doing pan
Is there anything in the camera's internal menu which allows you to change from the 23.976 frame rate and 25 fps? I suspect the slight jerky movement in your pans might be the result of VS adding 1 frame per second, and this only becomes obvious when panning...

Re: Not smooth picture when doing pan
Yes, I had already seen the jerky motion in a variety of your clips, but the only thing I could think of was that it came from VS add an extra frame every second... Does the camera have any of its own video software? If so, how does that look with the panning shots? How does the original video look when played in the Quicktime player?

Re: Not smooth picture when doing pan
Hi
Kobra you must set the camera to use 25 fps.
Do a new test recording, pan the camera, be steady, on a tripod would be best.
Then check the video properties to make sure they are correct.
Check the quality of this before you edit, use a media player Quicktime Player or VLC Player
Use Video Studio – Settings – Make Movie Templates Manager to create a Quicktime template to:-
QuickTime Movie Files
24 bits, 1920 x 1080, 25 fps
Frame-based
MPEG 4 Visual
50% Quality, 24 Key Frame Rate
None, 8.000 KHz, 8 bits, Stereo
The template will be available from Share Create Video File at the bottom of the list.
Use this to render your video, when complete check the quality. (use a media player Quicktime Player or VLC Player)
If you wish to try 1280 x 720 simply make a new template as above but use this frame size
