Hi
Earlier you provided some video property details, can you provide the details of the original Mov video, the white video. we may then be able to suggest settings to convert the video.
As VLC seems to be causing some problems, have you tried using Super to convert the video instead of VLC
-------------------------------
Are you able to make one of the original video files available for download.? Then we will be able to test the video file.

Re: Audio/Video Sync Issues
I could not find the right download link for Super. Can you help with this? Would you like me to upload the video file somewhere for download?
Thanks so much,
Josh

Hi Josh
I will send you an e-mail with a link to Super download.
Can you give the Properties of the Mov file, the white video file?
We still do not know anything about that particular file……..

If you do not have any way to upload a sample video, then the only free option I know of is using Windows Live Messenger which has the option to transfer files between users. Both have to be on line at the same time.

Re: Audio/Video Sync Issues
I just found a smaller file that was a bad take. I have uploaded it to: www.ministrypixel.net/churchontheweb/sample.mov
One thing though, Originally I ripped some older clips from a dvd. We ran into the same audio/video sync issues. It seems it does it with the longer videos. Thank you SO MUCH for your help!
Thanks,
Josh

Re: Audio/Video Sync Issues
Hi Josh
Thanks for the sample, at least I have been able to view the properties of the video.
I do not recognise the compression type of XDCAM EX, and that is probably the problem that Video Studio is having.
Others on the forum may have a better idea of this type.
Given time I will google it to see what I come up with.
My first thoughts is that it has been created using the “Full purchased version of QT”, most users use the free version which is suitable for most of our needs.
Guess the guys that create these videos need to be aware that most users will be unable to edit the video and may be best using a more general compression.
I have however been able to recode the video using Super to various formats, the audio seems to plays ok but difficult to say how good given the limited size of 5 seconds sample.
The original is however quite large at 23.8Mb
Hi Josh
The Compression is used by Sony, if you purchase the camcorder you will have no problems.

Gives some details and downloads to a browser that may install the appropriate codecs.
I think the best option is to convert to a more suitable/usable format in the first place.
