Audio/Video Sync Issues

Post by ministrypixel »

I am using Corel Video Studio Pro V4. I am exporting as the following:

- MP4
- 30FPS
- 1280 x 720
- Frame Based
- H.624 MAIN
- 5000 kbps
- AAC
- 44100 Hz
- 256 kbps
- Video is about 25min long

At different parts in the video, the audio begins to be off. Please help. Thank you in advance.

Highlight the clip in the timeline and use the "Split Audio" option. The audio will be separated from the video and on it's own track. Now you can slide the audio file forward or backward a frame at a time until it is in sync.

The audio is in sync at certain parts, so this wouldn't work. Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Split the audio and make cuts in between the synced parts and the non synced parts, then make adjustments where needed.

Is the out of sync issue happens on the created video file or when previewing it on VS X4. Remember previewing it on VS X4 is different from the final and created file. You may also want to update the codecs on your computer.

Codecs like...

Windows Media Player: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/wind ... dia-player or just download the Windows Encoder at http://www.microsoft.com/expression/pro ... rview.aspx

Hi

You say you are exporting the video and gave properties in the first post.

Can you tell us what are the properties of the original video file?
From the timeline right click a video and select properties what are they.?
Doing a screen capture you could attach the window to this post.

Where did you get the original video file from? downloaded from the internet, camcorder, ????

Are you able to play the original video either in VS or any media player, do you have problems with audio.

Seems strange that the video goes out of sync at specific points throughout.

Is the 25 minute video a single file or has it been made up with several clips.

Trevor,
The original videos are always recorded professionally at a technology school each month. They come as .mov files. I then use VLC to convert them to Corel appropriate video files.

The converted files play perfect outside of Corel. Each video that I make in Corel usually consists of 2 videos that make up the one video. I have included screens below of everything I could capture. One thing that I noticed is that I have the conversion audio settings in VLC as 256kbs but as you can see in Corel, the video settings show 233kbs.

VLC Conversion Settings (video codec)

Corel Video Properties

Corel Video Save Options (General)

Hope these screens help. Thank you SO MUCH for your help. This has been an ongoing issue and I would love to get it resolved.

What happens if you set the audio to 233 kbps in the Video Save option (i.e. the last image)?

It is not an option in Corel. Don't know why VLC is exporting at 233 when the option is 256

Hi

I assume you have no audio problems in playing the original Mov files using QuickTime player.

Are you able to add the original Mov file to Video Studio, before using VLC to convert.?

If not why not, do you get any error messages?

Other converters…..

There is a free video converter called Super.
Take care when browsing the web pages, they seem to want you to click anything but Super???
the link for Super is on the third page at the bottom as SUPER © v2011.build.49 (July 1st, 2011) Download SUPER © setup file

The file I am inputting into Corel syncs just fine when viewing outside of Corel. I have tried exporting with so many different settings and the audio and video are still out of sync. I would love to get this figured out. Thank you so much for your help.

Thanks,
Josh

No, I get an error when I try to play the MOV file in Quicktime. It sends me to a codecs page. When I input the MOV file into Corel, all it shows is a white screen, but the audio plays.
