Unspecified Error When Burning an AVCHD DVD

Post by RicPer »

Whenever I try to Burn my project to a DVD I get an unpsecified error after about 10 minutes and the program forces a shutdown. The progress shows that it is Converting the Title 001/001. I took a quick look at the DMP file and it looks like it has something to do with permissions of the program. I'm using Win 7 64 bit OS, Visual Studio Pro X4 SP1. What is the default location to have all of your videos and project files so that there are no permission problems whe you go to burn DVD? Thanks in advance for any advise.

Hi

I haven’t heard of any permission problems when rendering the projects.
I would assume its associated with the content of your project.

From the edit stage do Share - Create Video File-AVCHD
This will render the project to a new file AVCHD, it is the same/similar process as Convert Title

If this also fails, then we will need to know details of the projects content including the video files properties, audio, images etc
If it fails at a specific point, say 10% what is in the timeline at that point?

If you are successful in creating the video file AVCHD.
Start a new project (empty timelines)
Share Create Disc-AVCHD
Add the new video file here

When you hit the burn button the process should start with Convert Menu, there should be no Convert Title as you have added/using a compliant video file.

We also need more details of your computer, and particularly the CPU. AVCHD is currently the most demanding video format on computer resources, and you need at the very least a decent core 2 duo processor to be able to edit and play AVCHD smoothly. Even Windows 7 Control Panel > Device Manager > Processors will tell you what your CPU is.
