My 5-yr-old computer is near death and I've been researching new ones. I plan on getting a Sony HD memory stick camcorder in a few months, so I want a computer that will edit HD video fairly well.
I came across a bundle deal at BJ's for $400, an HP 5716 Pavilion Slimline, 4 GB RAM 1 TB Hard Drive, AMD Dual-Core Anthlon II 260 3.2 GHz, Super-Multi DVD burner with Lightscribe. The price includes a 20" HD LCD monitor.
Should I go for this? My son-in-law does War of the World stuff and said he didn't like the dual-core, but I know there are variations of it and this is a 3.2 GHz, his may have been something less.
Will this computer support Video Pro 4X?
