Someone on another PSP forum was also suddenly having problems with her Wacom tablet and pen after installing the latest driver. After going around and around with tech support, like you did, someone finally suggested that she go back to an old driver that she knew worked and that fixed the problem for her too.
Using Paint Shop Pro versions 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 14, 16

Yep, I'm so happy now because I use the program daily (it's my business!!) and working around the things I couldn't use was sooo frustrating. The issue I had was one of the reasons I put off buying a new computer for so long; I was just so afraid something would go wrong when reinstalling all the programs I use.

Thanks goes to the Wacom tech Mike McBride for suggesting an earllier driver. Everyone and everything (on the Internet) suggested the latest driver; now I want anyone with the same problem to know to go back and try an earlier one too!!

woohoopepper wrote:UPDATE!!! My issue has finally been resolved (at least so far so good)! Here's what has been happening. Nothing that anyone has told me on this forum has helped even when I tried to follow people's directions - the problem persisted. Corel techs - no help; don't get me wrong, they tried but I think they gave up because I'm the only one with this issue. I put in two phone calls to Wacom and both techs at separate times told me to do the same thing basically - the problem persisted. A wonderful tech finally answered a long-awaited email I had posted on Wacom and he had me install a driver that was not the latest but an older one from earlier in the year (I think). Voila - that actually fixed my problem. My pen now drags for the erase, clone and makeover tools, so I am one happy girl (er, old woman actually). If anyone else has the problem I had, I will be glad to give them the info I received that worked!

Thanks to all for trying to help me out!

Wendy
Wendy, I have a similar problem, so if you could share the info you received that would be great.

To woohoopepper. Thank you! Installed the old driver (version 5.0.5 instead of 5.25.5) and it worked!
