Pro Ex4 Multi Camera editing

Post by kobot8 »

Is there a way to edit using a multi camera "technique" ? ( having several videos sincronized with an audio track and just switching between the video tracks) or is there some way to do that ?

Hi

Video Studio has one main video timeline and the possibility of 6 overlay tracks that can be used for a variety of clips, Videos Images etc.
There are two title tracks available and 5 sound tracks.

As you are asking I assume you have not downloaded the trial version.

Hmmmm

You place the video files in different overlay tracks.
Then cut the bits you don’t want and remove them, as you play the project the different tracks will be displayed.

wish it was that easy, when i cut a part of the first video the rest of the video moves ahead and doesn't leave empty area for the second video to show up, so the both video tracks remain overlapped

Hi

Cutting the video in the overlay track will keep the video clips in position.

If you need to cut both use two overlay tracks rather than using the top track.

Hello, may I ask is there a way to have the waveform displayed in the sound track? for synchronizing

thank you

If you change to 'Sound Mixer' view - then each track having audio will display it's waveform - unfortunately though it is much to small for accurate cutting/syncing although it does help a bit.
