KPT and Magic Bullet Plugins for PSP X4 Ultimate

I have PSP X3 Ultimate with the KPT and Magic Bullet Plugins. I purchased the PSP X4 Ultimate upgrade with the NIK Plugin and installed that believing it would simply overwrite my PSP X3 and retain the plugins. That did not happen. Instead I now have both X3 and X4 on my computer. Fine, but I wanted the KPT and Magic bullet plugins installed into PSP X4. So I tried to simply reinstall the individual plugins hoping they would install into PSP X4. Nope.... Does anyone know how to install the KPT and Magic bullet plugins into PSP X4? I used KPT quite a bit and the NIK plugin for PSP X4 does not contain any of the KPT tools or filters.

X4 was specifically designed to play well with the others not overwrite them.

First, if you register X4 you'll get a set of KPT plugins that install directly to the X4 directory. It's not necessary that you use this but it is available for free to download a version of KPT that installs directly to X4.

That being said when X3 Ultimate came out KPT and Magic Bullet were designed specifically for X3 so they install to the X3 directory. To get X4 to see these plugins you need to go to your File Locations dialog and add the X3 plugins directory to the list of places to look for plugins. (File->Preferences->File Locations)

I have not done this in a while so I don't know what that exact location is but so long as you add the plugin location to X4 it should see them just fine.

Thanks Levi.. I found the folders for all the plug ins from PSP X3 and linked them in the Plugin file locations for PSP X4. No luck. PSP X4 either does not link to them or the complete plugin is not in the folders I linked. Also I was not able to find any download for the KPT tools for X4 and my version is registered. Any suggestion would be appreciated ..

I think Levi already answered all your question just want to add on the KPT part.

PSP X3 KPT is different from the PSP X4 KPT. How different PSP X3 KPT will only give you 4 effects, while on PSP X4, you will get 24 effects. Checkout the screen shots below.

@beullar - if it helps the path on my system for KPT and Magic Bullet is C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel PaintShop Photo Pro\X3\PSPClassic\Languages\EN

If you point X4 to the above location through File -> Preferences -> File Locations (Plugins) as Levi described you should be good to go.

Correction Abiel, X3 regular only has 4 KPT plugins. X3 Ultimate had all 24 plugins. Considering beullar said they had PSPX3 Ultimate it might be safe to assume that they have all 24 plugins. But just in case the distinction is nice.

You guys are great....found the right folder and now works perfect. And yes I have all 24 KPT plugins in my X3 Ultimate and they all show in my X4 as well.
