X4 special dll to get FU working..

Come on Corel share this dll with us..
read below this was sent to me today

(There is a solution to get Filters Unlimited working in PSP14
You need to install a certain dll. file.
It was shared yesterday in a payed group (they got the file from a teamworker of Corel)
I installed the dll and FU is working now)

It is unfair to hold this back from us loyal customers..

Hi

I have Googled Filters Unlimited and it appears that you have to pay for the software is not free.
Maybe at one time the software was free.

I doubt if Corel have the right to provide files to get the plug-in working.

If this dll has been provided by a Corel teamworker I would guess this is quite un-official.

If you purchased the product and I assume you have then contact Filters Unlimited for their support as their compatibility lists PSP, so it should work.

You should also contact Corel Support as I doubt any Corel employees will read your post.

I may however be misinterpreting the information and am willing to be corrected.

Abiel have sent it to you privately I tried it in X3 didn't work
couldn't get into my plugins so had to do a reinstall
I am wondering if you could copy them same dll from X2..
would that work..
would be nice if Corel had the same for X3..Cheers

Hi

I have installed the demo version of FU and it shows in the Effects, only the demo so I cant apply the effects but it does seem to work without any additional DLL.
I suppose it may be an Operating System issue, I am running XP
I only have X4 so cannot compare with older versions.

How did you install the plug-in?

Thanks for providing the filter

I have been able to install the filter which is now working ok.
I did not have to modify the program in any way, I did not replace any DLL files.

Ok this is what I did.
Extracted the files from the Zip.
Running the Setup.exe created a few files within a new Filters Unlimited 2.0 folder.
Using XP I installed this to C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel PaintShop Pro X4\Languages\EN\PlugIns

But works just as well any location on the pc. I was able to run it from the desktop.

Open PSP
File -- Preferences-File Locations-plug-ins Add the location of the Filters Unlimited 2.0 folder. To this panel

So are you still having problems with the filter.?

Trevor you don't want to load up your X4 with too many plugins..
i don't have any in there.. I have seperate folders all over the place..

Filly - are you saying that FU now works on raster layers in X4? For me it only works on background layers. How did you fix it? Thanks, Kathy
