"How to" get right perspective

Post by caspia1 »

I need to put a title into a book which is not "face on".
With the freehand selection tool I´ve found out that after using "pick" and pressing Ctrl I can play around with the text. However, I want to be able to use a parallelogram shape but haven´t got a clue how to arrive at it. Any ideas, please?

Which version of PSP are you using? I didn't get into vectors until around PSPX3 so I can't speak for older versions but in the newer ones you can do the exact same thing using the Pick tool. Just Pick the vector, hold Ctrl and do a perspective transform.

There was something odd in X2, if I wanted to use the Pick tool I had to hold Ctrl and click on one of the nodes before it would let me adjust the perspective. So it didn't appear right away but I could do it with the pick tool.

And in PSP 8 and up you can perform that same distortion with either the Text tool active or the Object Selection tool active (shortcut key of O for Object) if you didn't want to use the pick tool.
