PSP x4 Patches and Updates.

Post by brucet »

I see on the Corel site, under Patches and Updates, a download for PSP x4. Is this new or something that I can ignore for the time being?

I think it's the offline manual.

Yes, we were supposed to see SP1 last week for testing prior to making it readily available.

I don't remember the language of the declaration but I took it only as expectant not guaranteed. If they had to delay the release I'm okay with that provided they are doing it to get it done right.

So who said guaranteed? All I said was "supposed".

Definition: supposed past participle, past tense of sup·pose (Verb)
Verb:

1. Assume that something is the case on the basis of evidence or probability but without proof or certain knowledge.
2. Used to make a reluctant or hesitant admission.

And the exact verbiage was "SP1 should be in the hands of the beta testers sometime this week." (posted 10/17/11)

I thought we were supposed to get it around 19Sep11 - but then I could have dreamt that too ----------------

on the CYW site "I believe SP1 is almost ready to be tested by the beta group so you should get to see it very soon."

Yeah but what is the Download on the Corel site.

Whether it's supposed be there or not. Or if it was promised or not wsn't my question!!!

Sorry.

I'm on a very slow and expensive service and I have to watch my downloads so I can't just download for a quick look see.

Sorry Kathy_9, that is why I should never reply when I'm tired. I never read things properly nor respond to them properly. xD

Anyway, as for what the download is. If you click on the title of the download, not the download button, it takes you to a description page for the download. This page says "Corel PaintShop Pro X4 Help" whether or not it's the offline help or just an update to the offline help I don't know but eL_PuSHeR called it. It's the offline help files.

I am looking forward to seeing all the bugs fixed in PSP X4. It only takes a little bit of intensive work for the program to start showing code problems, one of them being very annoying: after using several different tools and changes of colour the Materials Palette "locks" me out. I can choose different colours but can no longer work with them. Have gone back to an older version because I can't work like this.
