The Manual for Videostudio X4 pro is very bad. Do you know, if there is anywhere a better one online?

Hi Bernhard,
I have brought that up with Corel several months ago. The manual for VS X3 was just as bad. They indicated that my concerns about the superficial way the manual covers the topics would be given to the Product Development Group. But, as it is now close to the end of the year and they are putting the final touches on VS X5, I highly doubt that there will be any updates, or improvments to the current manual. We can only hope that the manual for the new release will be better written. If you want to spend a bit more money, I personally found the book by Mark Bech very helpful. The title is "Picture Yourself Making Creative Movies with Corel VideoStudio Pro X4". Just to put anyone's fears to rest, I am getting noting for this plug... lol
Sorry I could not provide you with a no-cost alternative manual, but the book has helpedme quite a bit.

There are also a number of very good free VideoStudio tutorials that you can see here :-
http://www.seeitdoit.tv/reg/free-tutorials.asp
they also do a range that you can buy.
don't forget also that there are many other free tutorials on Youtube - just put VideoStudio in the search panel and you will get a lot of results

Many Thanks Brian for your message. But I am german and can write and read english, but understand very few of spoken english in Videos... thats the pity. Therefore I seek a good manual, but will order the book.

Hi Ken,
I did not mean to say that I know for certain when the next version will be coming out. I am just going by the time of year that we are in, and the fact that VS X4 came out early this year. Based upon that, I think that the chances of any improvements to the manual are less than likely. I'm sorry if I gave the impression that I have better sources of information than you do. I was only making an observation, and did not mean to come across that way.

Re: The Manual for Videostudio X4 pro is very bad.
Don't worry!
I took no offence. Rather, I was a bit amused. You are right, of course, that on the usual cycle, X5 should at least be lurking somewhere around in pre-Beta phase. We can only hope so. But if they are going to do the normal beta testing cycle, then they are leaving it rather late to get started on that, judging by my experience as a beta tester for X4... So I am beginning to suspect that X5 is likely to make its appearance a little later, rather than sooner...
And I would certainly not be holding my breath for a better manual, whenever it might appear!!
