install downloaded ultimate upgrade new comp.
I just built a new comp- Amd six core with 8gigs and an ssd drive. Esata and usb 3.0 I downloaded and paid for x4 ultimate but naturally the upgrade. So how do I install that to this new computer? It has no previous software on it. I hate to have to install X3 just to meet some requirement. Can I just enter an X3 serial number if it asks for it? Doug

With recent versions, it is simply a matter of having the previous version's serial number handy. You are asked for it as well as the new serial number. So there shouldn't be any trouble. The upgrade version is the full version and does not depend on sharing any existing version's files.
