Video Studio BluRay Problems

Post by extrastep17 »

Hi-

First time posting: The chaptered DVDs work fine in VS but when producing a Blu-Ray disc, when I go to a motion menu that had, say, the kissing of the bride, I click on it, and for a second, you see the kissing of the bride, and then it plays a scene from waaay back in the video and not the scene I cklicked on.

It will also put in chapters for the first half of my program, but the last, say, 45 mins of the program, there is no chapters. This has happened with MF7 and I just went from XP Professional to W7 and nothing solves this problem. Of course, when I called Corel they had never heard of this problem.

Help please....

I'm not making Blu-Ray discs, but I'll suggest something anyway. Try separating your editing & disc authoring steps... Render your complete Blu-Ray compatible file 1st, then re-load the file and create menus as a new project.

The timing codes in your video-file might be messed-up, and rendering a new file should (hopefully) clean them up. (And, don't use Smart Render... You probably need to re-render the whole thing.)

I'm editing the project in Edius Neo 2 and then dropping the MPEG file into VS so there are no original chapter points that can be corrupted...ajk

Can you please describe how the chapter points are being inserted. Have you simply used the method which inserts a new chapter based on a time period selected by you? Or have you inserted chapter points manually in the burning module?
