X4 Crop Bug
I searched the threads but couldn't find one here on this problem.
I use X4 in the Edit Workspace and have Tabbed Documents deselected.
When the Crop Tool is active and multiple images open if I click on another Image's Title Bar all images immediately become Tabbed and it shows that Tabbed has been selected in the Window Dropdown Menu.
This happens every time that another image's title bar is clicked when Crop Tool is active.
It's very annoying.
But it does not happen if I separate the images and click anywhere on another image within that Image's Boundary.
This has been confirmed by two other X4 users in the X4 newsgroup.
Has this been reported?

Re: X4 Crop Bug
I can tell you that it is known behavior and it has troubled some other users who prefer not to used the tabbed document format, but whether they reported it or not is unknown. Personally, I use and prefer tabbed documents, so I have not reported it. BTW, even if others have reported it, you might want to do the same to add your voice to theirs to give it some added priority.

Re: X4 Crop Bug
Can confirm that this happening to me also. Only with the CROP tool selected, but everytime I click on a different image title bar it reverts to tabbed documents. It must be a bug. I can see no logical reason for it to be intentionally programmed to act in this manner.

Re: X4 Crop Bug
I was able to recreate the problem on my end as well. I've reported this and I'll try to update this as soon as I got a reply.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

This hasn't happened here, yet.Kathy_9 wrote:I can tell you that it is known behavior and it has troubled some other users who prefer not to used the tabbed document format, but whether they reported it or not is unknown. If it does, I will certainly report it.

Re: X4 Crop Bug
Thank you Abiel.
Hopefully it will get sorted in a patch as I doubt it would be a complicated fix.
I've also found the text bug I reported in X3 over a year ago and not yet fixed is in X4. I will make another thread on it.

Hi
Select by using Right click seems to work OK.
Left click and it reverts to being Tabbed

Re: X4 Crop Bug
Yes that works for me also Trevor, the images don't become tabbed, but very annoying as it brings up the context menu as well.

Re: X4 Crop Bug
This is one Bug they have not fixed. When the Crop Tool is active, clicking on another image's title bar still sends all open documents back to tabbed settings.
Only way to stop it happening is to click within the body of doc or right click the title bar.
This was supposed to have been reported as mentioned in this thread.

Of course that doesn't mean it will be fixed.
