How to make templates?

Post by wezcorel »

Hi everyone,

I have a potential client who asked me to put his logo at the bottom of every scene, like a footer area. The movie will include imported video and stills - adding branding for stills would be easy enough using a third party graphics tool and importing, but how to do this for video?

This got me thinking about templates, i.e. to create client templates with branding etc, to be used for future projects for the same client.

Is it possible to create templates and if so could anyone point me in the right direction please?

I read the section in the Corel online help:
http://product.corel.com/help/video/540 ... wwhelp.htm

That led me to the 'Make Movie Templates Manager', but this seems to be a dead-end, I mean, how and where do I create the template ?

Sorry if this sounds confused.

Thanks!

It needs to be a 32 bit alpha channel PNG so you can chroma-key out the background around the logo i.e. make it transparent.

Hi

The Instant Project may be an option that may help you.
You can create a short introduction (30 seconds) using the clients info as a normal project then convert this to an Instant Project.

Each time you do work for this client you start with the “Instant Project” then add the main video files.
