Hi
In Preferences - Working Folder I have set Working folder to my 2TB external HDD (H:\), but when I save a project Corel always defaults to the install folder, 'c:\corel visual studio pro\my project'. Is there another setting somewhere that I am missing?
Thanks! Wez

Hi Wez
You can allocate any location to be the working folder, I normally have a working folder for each project, this would contain all video files for that particular project.
When I first save the project I use Save As, then browse the hard drive to find a location, just the same as saving any files on your pc.
The project file is a VSP Video Studio Project. Once saved as a quick start---will show from File- to the bottom of list, the 4 latest projects being available.
Then just hit File Save or Ctrl+S to resave your work, Video Studio also does an auto save????????

Re: Working folder question
It is not advisable to setup your working folder on a a external hard drive that will are usually connected via USB. You can just setup the working folder on a separate folder on your computer's hard drive and once you are done with your project, then you can backup the whole folder to your external hard drive.

why do you say that? Because of performance? Yep my external HDD is connected via USB. The problem is my PC's hard drives are really full.
