Easy way to switch back and forth on video tracks?

Using Corel VideoStudio Pro X4... I have two video tracks: Video Track 1 and Overlay track 1. They are each 9 minutes in length. I am only going to use the Audio from the Video Track. The Overlay track is muted. I am wanting to switch the video back and forth and back and forth on the video tracks with a simple cross fade transition about every 30 seconds. Is this possible without splitting the track up into multiple segments and piecing the audio back together?
