Corel VideoStudio Pro X4 - Clicking sounds

Post by maelstromb »

Hi, I've searched the forums but couldnt find an answer so I'm asking with a new topic.

I'm trying to render a video and for some reason when the rendering is done video has some clicking noises.

Watch my video and you'll hear those weird ticking noises, anyone knows why could this be happening? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forums, :)

We're going to need more information. Please go to the sticky post at the top of the forum, called.. Please Read this First before Posting. It lays out what information is needed.

The clicking could be a specific codec being used, video format, however we don't know what that is. I have a digital still camera that records the video in MOV file, using the MJPEG codec. It also will produce a similar clicking noise. My fix is somewhat more complicated, so I just forget about using any audio from video shot using my camera, a Kodak EasyShare P880.

Aside from what Ron said it can also be caused by a mic on the computer recording the keyboard taps. In anycase, you may want to check the source video and see if the clicking sounds is already there even before you edit or processed the video. Just incase this is indeed a codec issue.

Here are some of the codecs that you may want to install.

I had a similar problem in VS3 when creating a "custom" settings video in MP4 format. http://youtu.be/i-WRQnbvAB4 The pulsing sound is not from the helicopter. In the Video Save Options dialog on the Compression tab, there was an Audio Settings area where you could select the audio type and frequency. I think the pulsing-sound was caused by mismatching these audio frequency settings to that of the original video. In any case, changing it cured the problem so you might want to try it if you were using custom settings to make your video.
