Why should it even vaguely worry you if you don't use the feature? I never knew it existed till you drew attention to it, but I am not going to worry about it...

Re: How to disable/remove Content menu - Browse with PSP
In earlier versions there was an option to not install that feature during the PSP installation. You can at least temporarily remove it by using TweakUI for WinXP if Microsoft still has that available for download. If you already have TweakUI, the option to turn that off is in My Computer > Templates. I said temporarily because it can have a tendency to reappear now and then.
EDIT: I take that back. It doesn't remove the "Browse with PSP" from the recycle bin, etc. It only removes the "New PSP document" from the context menu.

Using Paint Shop Pro versions 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 14, 16

Re: How to disable/remove Content menu - Browse with PSP
Let's explain it litle bit. First, some programs not only adds item to Content menu but set a character shortcut for it. But after while there are two or more with the same character. Like 'e' char here -Ken Berry wrote:Why should it even vaguely worry you if you don't use the feature? I never knew it existed till you drew attention to it, but I am not going to worry about it...
.So when I want to acces a second action I had to press 'e' char twice..
That's my main reason, second is - menu is growing with hundred installed apps quicky.

Thanks, I know there is a bunch of apps that do this - http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-ti ... enu-items/, http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-ti ... -registry/ --- that works in XP and 7, but as you discovered PSP or others apps - automaticaly "repair" it back after while. So best is to dissable it with native app - in this case PSP x3/x4.LindaSue wrote:In earlier versions there was an option to not install that feature during the PSP installation. i also hate this function.
there is no chance i am ever going to use it. 'browse with Corel Paintshop Pro X4' please.
i find it so frustrating that these things don't have options. I hate the way that when i now connect my phone to my computer i have the option to import using PSP. i can understand these things being included, even being on b default. but you have to be able to disable them.

Thanks, I play with it yesterday and came to the same results like You on Windows XP and Windows 7.JStanley wrote:For X3, the registry entry for Browse with Corel PaintShop Photo Pro X3 is for HKCR\Directory:For X4, the registry entry for Browse with Corel PaintShop Pro X4 is also for HKCR\Directory:Code: Select all

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell\Browse With Paint Shop Pro 7] [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell\Browse With Paint Shop Pro 7\command] @="\"C:\\Program Files\\Jasc Software Inc\\Paint Shop Pro 7\\psp.exe\" \"/Browse\" \"%L\""
NOTE: You should back up (export) a registry key before you delete it in case you want to restore the key.
P.S. This is not the same as Open with Corel Paint Shop Pro (X whatever) when you right click on an image. That is a different subject.
Here are my registry backuped & removed keys - http://lab.php5.cz/content-menu-Browse_ ... s7_x32.zip
