Movie Wizard Query on AVI vs MPEG

Post by rowladar »

Hi,
I tried the Movie Wizard to create the first pass of my daughter's birthday video. It did a great job and I was then able to go into edit mode and move bits around and add more titles and stills etc... :?

The only problem is, it automatically makes the Project in MPEG format - I wanted to keep it in DV/AVI format - I can't find any way of making the wizard do this...

Does anyone have any ideas? :?:

The wizard is a great introduction to some of the newer VS capabilities - well worth a visit.

thanks,

Daran.

Which Wizard did you use -- the DV-to-DVD, or the Movie Wizard?

I solved the problem by starting a new project, dropping a DV file from my library (in DV wiescreen format) onto the timeline and letting VS9 ask me if I wanted to change the project properties to match.

Once it's done this, I can then delete that file, and run movie wizard and the movie gets created in the right format.

Hope this is of use to some of you...
