PSPx4-Crippled

Post by ThosGee »

Hi - Downloaded PSPx4 to replace a well used and reliable PSPx12. The following is occurring making the program unusable. Any help appreciated.

If program loaded with Edit screen then when switching to Manage or Adjust the computer hangs up.
If program loaded with Manage screen then when switching to Edit an Error occurs "Encounter an Improper argument." Then everything hangs up.
Many times when loading with Edit screen and put an photo on the screen, the toolbar optional functions do not appear. For example, if you click the icon for "Straighten Tool" you can't get the alternate function "Perspective Correction" and so on down the line of toolbar functions.

I have uninstalled and re-installed several times with multiple re-boots. (BTW I'm using VSx4 without problems - touch wood!)

System:
Intel Core 2 Quad, 2.67 GHz, 3.25 GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 2600XT with the latest driver and multi-screen display.
Thanks
Tom

There is a separate thread on this problem: http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... 03#p230203 If you look at the end of it, one user got around it by reinstalling.

Regarding the hang-up and the invalid argument error: I find I do not have a problem switching between the screens - Manage, Adjust and Edit, IF THERE IS AN IMAGE ON THE MANAGE SCREEN - even if it refers to an image no longer in existence. So my work-around is to open the program in the Manage screen and ensure there is an image selected. So far so good.
