Vertical Ticker in Videostudio

Post by bernhard001 »

How - in Videostudio X4 pro - can I insert a NORMAL slow vertical ticker (without any stupid effects) inside my running Video. I try this now for hours, but it is impossible.......

Hi

I assume you are referring to text

Do you intend to rotate the text through 90 degrees

Or do you simply want the text to move from the bottom to the top.

Whilst writing the text, there is a small icon containing a T adjacent to the Align/justify buttons.
This will rotate the text
--------------------------------------------------
The animation can be used to fly the text up the screen.
With the text selected on screen.
Choose-attributes tab
Choose Animation then Apply
Select Fly
Click the two TT’s symbol then set the enter - exit arrows

To control the speed increase the duration of the text clip within the timeline

Hello Trevor, thank you, but I dont want to fly the text, I only want to MOVE the text from bottom to the top. And I only seek in Videostudio a button, which do that. Thats all. In Magix Video Deluxe that is very easy, why not in the Corel program?

Hi

Select the text clip in the timeline.
Select the text on the preview screen
Select the edit tab to the right of the preview screen
Choose an “alignment” arrow from the box to the right.
Or
Simply drag the text on screen to any position.
Keep the text within the white box safe area

Hi,
many thanks, but I want to insert a TICKER, that is a running text....*** from the bottom to the top, very slowly - and without any stupid effects. That seems very difficult to get in Videostudio. Many thanks for your great Help.

Hi Trevor
I send you a Mail with my thanks for your mail, but......I play this vsp-file, but I could not find out, how you make it.......the blue text-animation buttons bring only many stupid text-effects, no simple ticker-text.

Which are you wanting?
1. Enter from bottom, exit to top.
2. Enter from bottom, stopping toward the top.

I also have MEP 17+ HD to be exact. You're not going to find the same effects MEP has in VS, and vice-versa. Then even if the effect is the same, how to create them will be different. Why? Because they are made by two different companies. Each does there own thing.

If you could somehow identify which ticker effect in MEP you're wanting to replicate in VS, I could have a look and see how it could be, if possible, in VS. One last thing I'll point out, is that MEP has real Motion Path, where VS does not. So if that's what you're seeing in MEP, it's not going to be quite that easy to do in VS.

Hello Ron....I like only a totally normal thing.....a running text from bottom to the top and there vanishing... If that is not a total normal feature of Videostudio, I will rotate to Magix.

Is the ticker that you are referring looks like the text on the sample video below?

If YES then you can use the TITLE effect that scrolls the text down to up. The title effect that I'm referring is the one that I high-lighted in RED.

For ways on how to place titles on your videos, you can watch this video tutorials.

But if your answer is NO, then we just need to wait for a knowledgeable person to answer to your post.

Many thanks.....YES, I want to use the title-effect with red borders. BUT, if I click it, I get only a black preview screen and a very quick running counter at the bottom. Thats all. What can I do? In the manual I find nothing about this problem.

Hi Berhard

The VSP I sent yesterday used a Fly animation, using the two TT’s you can access a manual approach
Open the project called “open in video studio X4 and play.VSP”
Select the Title Clip in the timeline.
Click the Preview Screen, the text will show as “bernhard001”
Click the text to select
Click Attributes Tab
Click the two TT’s
The Fly Animation panel shows an Enter and Exit
Choose the Exit as Top.
Click OK

Press the Play Button
The text “bernhard001” will start off screen, scrolling from the bottom and leaving the screen at the top.
To slow the scroll increase the Title Clips Duration
………………………………….

Modify the text…………..Select the Clip in the timeline
Select the preview screen
Double click your name, now change the text.
To the right is an alignment panel, or drag the text on screen to position
…………………………..
Black backgroundThis is the default colour that the program uses.

When viewing a Title clip from the library you will always use the default background colour.
