render in .mpeg and in .mp4
If I render a Videostudio-file of 15 minute in .mpeg, it is about 750 000 great, if I render it in .mp4 it grows to 1.200 000, why?

Re: render in .mpeg and in .mp4
It depends what the properties are of your respective mpeg-2 and 4. If your mpeg-2 is standard definition but your mpeg-4 is high definition, the latter would use a (much?) higher bitrate and this in turn would usually produce a larger file.
But in order to be able to give a more sensible answer, please right click on the original mpeg-2 file and copy ALL its properties here;. And then do the same with the new mpeg-4. Then we will have a better idea of what we are talking about.

I'm not sure what your ".mpeg" file is...
File size is a function of bitrate, and you can estimate the file size with the following formula -
File Size in MB = (Bitrate in kbps x Playing Time in minutes) / 140
MPEG-4 is more efficient than MPEG-1 or MPEG-2, so you can generally get away with lower bitrates (smaller files) with MPEG-4 (for the same quality). But, the actual file size depends on the actual combined audio & video bitrates.

Re: render in .mpeg and in .mp4
The reason is: In Videostudio X4 Plus - there is no possibility, to render a NORMAL .mp4 file, - only .mp4 HD is possible. And .mp4 HD-files are very large, larger than the .mpeg files. What can I do, to render normal .mp4 files with Videostudio?

Re: render in .mpeg and in .mp4
Where did you get the impression you cannot render an SD mpeg-4 in VS X4? If you go to Share > Create Video File, there is a separate section for output of MPEG-4 (quite apart from AVCHD). Some of the possibilities are HD, yes, but some are normal mpeg-4. And if you don't like them, then you can always go to Share > Create Video File > Custom, and choose mpeg-4 as the format, and then set up the properties you want by clicking the Options button.

Re: render in .mpeg and in .mp4
Thank you Ken, I find that,
BUT, if I now render a .mp4 file, I never get a videoformat of 16 : 9, always 4 : 3, although I configure it as 16 : 9 and 720 - 576.......
.....and a second question: How I can delete preview-markers and other markers?
and....sorry.....a third question: How can I configure .mp4 HD to render the videoformat 16 : 9?
