HTML text entry box Error

Any time I access the HTML text entry box, the Photo Impact x3 stop working and I have to close the program. I was able to use that feature just fine until a little while ago. I'm using Vista. Can anybody give me a hint ?

Not just you're system, does the same thing for me. I tried changing the compatibility mode to WinXP SP2 to see if that might help, but it doesn't. It does seem to be related to the operating system. I tried on my WnXP machine, and did not get the crash. Sadly I don't know why it's crashing on Vista. This is one feature I just don't use. I've never really liked how PI does web pages. If I'm going to do a web page, I use a HTML editor, or specialty program for that. PI, PSP, is used just for editing graphics/photos.

I agree with Ron. I don't believe a graphic program is the way to go to create web pages.

My favourite web designer is Dreamweaver, although I never use all the functions, I do like its versatility.

Used to be. It's been a few years now. When I started I used the ever so popular and affordable program called Windows Notepad..

PhotoImpact X3 is fully compatible with Windows Vista, that was when Vista was initially released. It could be the latest updates of Windows Vista that may have affected the program, also have you tried checking if your PhotoImpact needs to be updated?

Like Ron, I'm more comfortable in using a text editor, though I use Notepad ++.

I like Kompozer. It's free, it offers that WYSIWYG interface for the drag and drop people as well as a nice HTML editor for those who prefer to write the code. Though it's over a year since the last recorded update so don't expect HTML 5 support in it.

I've never heard of Kompozer. I'll go check it out.

Prior to using Dreamweaver I did coding with Notepad, now I'm just lazy!
