Help with Video Studio x4 ultimate

I installed and used the trial version - I made a slideshow, downloaded templates from the "do more" corel guide.
I purchased the software, and finally figured out how to remove the demo version.
I installed the software, now i click on the corel guide and click on the tab "do more" and choose a template to download. the only thing that comes up is a dialog box that says "DIM Dialog" in the top part of the box and the rest is a blank white screen. This dialog box comes up for everything I try to download. I have tried the font packs and the title packs and they all do the same. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this

not sure what to think of that other than the program hasn’t installed correctly.
It may be associated with some “message” files, just thinking out loud….????
and thinking being corrupt after downloading with the trial.

There is a update Patch for X4, maybe installing this may change the program.

There is a folder called "en_US", by removing this folder, or renaming it to say “en-US copy”
Will force VS to recreate it, this will reset the libraries to their default states.
New folder created when VS starts
Please try this it may also reset the download window.

I have done a Google search for "DIM Dialog" and have not come up with any meaningful result in these circumstances. I don't think I have ever seen a dialogue box in Video Studio with that title...

Another point: when you go to the Do More page, do the various possible downloads have an active blue button under them saying "Download Now" or a grayed out "Installed"? If the latter, then they will still be on your computer and were not uninstalled when you removed the trial version of X4.

If I understand correctly, the Ultimate package is basically the same as VS PRO X4 with the exception of the added features that come with it. That being said will the VS PRO X4 patch alluded to here work with the Ultimate version as well? I believe it will but want to get it clarified before my software comes in the mail in a few days. I have Ultimate and the version number is 14.1.0.126. I have not added SP1 to it as it was my understanding that this has been included in the Ultimate version. Before I actually received my boxed version, and was using X4 Pro, I had applied the patch successfully. But we had one of the first people with the Ultimate package come here saying they tried to apply SP1 and got the message that it could not find a relevant version of X4 or something to that effect. We deduced from that that the SP! installation was looking for a version without the patch.

But I could be wrong, and would be grateful if anyone out there with Ultimate who have successfully added SP1 would give us their version number.

I believe that the upgrade of SP-1 was successful on boxed X4 (non-Ultimate) and the version is 14.1.0.107.

If all else failed, you can perform a clean reinstallation by manually removing the program and install a new copy.

Yes, I also got that same message when I tried to apply the SP-1 patch to my latest boxed VideoStudio Pro X4 Ultimate edition, and so like Ken, I assumed that the 'ultimate' edition already contains the patch update built-in.
