I inadvertently clicked on "adjust" and now cannot get back to either 'manage' or 'edit'. I've closed the program, installed the available updates but now I cannot do anything. The program opens in 'adjust' no matter what I do so now the program is not usable - period.

I have Windows 8, using a Lenova laptop, intel core i5, 2.5 gz 400 hard drive.

I'm not sure about Windows 8 but I suggest you try the following:
Go to File / Preferences / General Program Preferences / Default Launch Workspace
Check "Edit" (especially if it says "Keep Last View" currently)

I just got it now ~ what the hell does that mean?!?!

I've gotten all types of errors with PSP x7, and still do, but this is a first with this one -____- And of course, it completely froze the program so I have to go into Task Manager to End Task, or else I'd never get the thing closed. I was in Edit Mode too, and now I will be losing progress on the image that I've been working on for the past hour -____- ugh.

Unfortunately, Corel doesn't provide customer service numbers that could actually HELP you. I've tried emailing them and getting in contact through that Priority thing (even PAID for it!) and still couldn't figure it out >.>

@ Tadjio

Reading your entry (PSPX4) and looking at your system (Windows 8 ) tells me that there might be a problem. I remember the one or other who had problems with PSPX4 on Windows 8, which wasn't made for this OS.

Maybe you can try PSPX7?
I work for the Corel UK Support. I will not give technical support through this forum and my answer is only related to this thread.

Thanks, Simone, I have been using PSPX7 for nearly a year and the problem is resolved (with help from Joseph)

I compared installers of different versions of PSP (X5-X7) and there are slight differences between 3 versions (TBYB, download after you buy and retail CD-ROM) of PSP with the same version number: some installer "IDs" are different and slightly some DLLs. :? So far I am not an expert.

I thought I was going crazy because I didn't remember that conversation until I realized you quoted something I said in October of 2011.
