Create video file crash

Post by silverice »

Hello, I've acquired the Corel Video Studio Pro x4 recently, and across an unplesant problem shortly after instalation. The "create video file" makes the program crash every time i press it. It is very frustrating. I have no clue of what to do, can anyone help please?

Thank you.

Welcome to the forums!

Unfortunately, we simply do not have enough information to be able to make even a reasonable guess at a solution. We have no idea what you were doing before you pressed the Create Video File button. Did you have video in the timeline? If so what was its format, and what editing were you doing to it?

Please have a look at this sticky post at the top of this forum -- it is called, indicatively, PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE POSTING http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?p=41454#p41454 Then get back to us with the information requested and hopefully someone will be able to help.

Yes, I had a video timeline, 2 videos that i recorded, they have the .MOV extention.
I have Quicktime installed, it was installed previous to the program (should I install Quicktime again?)
I have uplodaed the video to youtube without any problems, but when I click the "Create video file" button, it just shows the box saying "Corel Videostudio has stopped working".
Tried with other video files and the result is still the same.

Hi

From the timeline or library, Right click a video file and select properties, what are they.
Screen capture the window to create an image and attach to your post.

QuickTime versions have caused some problems for some users.
X4 installs QT 7.5.5 so you may be best reverting to that version.

However installing the latest version may be required.
I know that’s a little contradictory, however try 7.5.5 first.
