The menu templates have a lot of fancy stuff which, in my case, is often not usefull at all.
I only want to have my own background picture and music file, with a few buttons for the chapters in my video.
MF7 doesn't let me do that easily. I have to get rid of all the unwanted stuff, by "hiding" it or making it 99% transparent and move out of the frame some unwanted buttons.
I notice that, whatever I do, the stuff remains there, even if it not viewable.
Is there a way to "clean" the whole space in one (or a few) step(s)?
At least, there should be a template with only the basic elements in it.

Hi Pierre
I am not exactly sure what you are trying to remove.
The Title/Chapter links I assume you require, links will only show for the Titles/Chapters you are using.
The navigation buttons can be hidden or made transparent, selecting NO27 buttons seem the less intrusive, at least to me.
If you hide the bits during “customise” you can then save the template.
This will show in the favourites gallery for future use.

Re: Unwanted stuff in the menu
I do know what you are talking about--you don't need multiple pages of menus and you don't need navigation buttons and chapters etc.pierrenev wrote:The menu templates have a lot of fancy stuff which
AFAIK the only way to do it is as you have done, to move & hide stuff. At least, that's what I've done; I've started with the very simplest template I can find, then made my own best simplified menu, added background pics and music, and moved/edited the "button" names (episodes, in my case).
Once you've done this, then you re-use your own projects time & again vs. starting from scratch with a MF template.

Hi
Do you mean you save the menu template, which can be used again from the Gallery—Favourites panel
Or do you hide “the stuff” each time you create a menu?

How could I have been clearer:
I save projects, not templates.I've started with the very simplest template I can find, then made my own best simplified menu... Once you've done this, then you re-use your own projects time & again vs. starting from scratch with a MF template.

Re: Unwanted stuff in the menu
Thanks. I've done that, but I ALSO save my modified template in my favorites. This way, I can use it again.maxblack wrote:How could I have been clearer:I save projects, not templates.I've started with the very simplest template I can find, then made my own best simplified menu... What I would prefer is to have a MF7 template with just buttons (nothing else). The rest, I can add by myself.
But, after all, to "adjust" the MF7 template to my need is not the end of the world.
Pierre.
Re: Unwanted stuff in the menu
I don't know anything about its DVD templates; I've only used the HD ones, and they are pretty awful, too much (extra nav buttons) and too little (not enough "episode" buttons) at the same time.pierrenev wrote:What I would prefer is to have a MF7 template with just buttons (nothing else).
I suppose it's too much to ask to have a better template editor than it has. Cuz otherwise I think MF is darn nice for the price...
