This problem is bugging me and I can't find a way to fix it, I am running win7 64bit with VS X4.
When I load an un-edited video with vs the quality is good, but then when I create a video file for the same un-edited video, the quality worsens, it seems like frames per second drop, I have tried every format available.
I have no problems what so ever with windows live movie maker.
I don't know if this could a computer issue so I will post what I have
Intel Pentium D 3.0GHz, 4GB of ram, gtx570, big hard disk.
Does anyone else have this problem?

Re: video quality worsen
OK the video file in question was created through Logitech HD Pro Webcam C910 and the output file is Windows Media Audio/Video file (.wmv)
I don't know what motherboard I am running.
running 4GB ddr2 ram
Hard disk 300GB, 64GB used
And I don't have any problems uploading the un-edited file directly to YouTube or through Windows LiveMovie Maker

Re: video quality worsen
I'm afraid we also need to know the properties of the original video. So please right click on one of the original files, either in the Video Studio timeline or in its library window, and copy ALL its Properties here.
And can you tell us also what you are doing with the video? What do you want to use it for? What editing did you do to it? What video format did you choose -- right click on one of the edited new files and give us all its properties too, please.

Just a suggestion, when you go and create a file can you try using SAME AS PROJECT SETTINGS then tell us if the same thing happens to the created video file.
