Re: enlarge image PSPro X
Holy smokes!! When you attempt to re-size the image, do the same pixel dimensions show up in the re-size dialog box? If so, what happens if you attempt to downsize it - any issues?

Re: enlarge image PSPro X
In PSPro I go file -import-twain acqiure-in the Canon Scan Gear CS Box, main tab- the output resolution for the scan is
set to 300 dpi.
Now when I try to enter text on the image(which I have done before on the same image but saved under a different name with no problem) I get this showing
"Unhanced exeption code 102" and, in another box " paints 1.exe application error box" -
Instruction at 0x026b0313 referenced memory at 0x000000078memory could not be read-click OK to terminate the programme.
What is going on here?
The resize box has the same pixel dimensions and resolution for the original dimensions.Pixel dimension is 181%x181% W21187 H32767, if I try to reduce ,the not enough memory box shows.
set to 300 dpi.

Re: enlarge image PSPro X
Can you see the Resolution under PSP Image Information (EXIF Information) - shortcut Shift+I?Kenneth Veal wrote:In PSPro I go file -import-twain acqiure-in the Canon Scan Gear CS Box, main tab- the output resolution for the scan is set to 300 dpi.
It is described as X resolution (and Y) e.g. 300.0 dpi.
Also, can you save the image as a JPG and then use Windows Explorer File Properties to view the Resolution?
It is described as Horizontal resolution (and Vertical).

Re: enlarge image PSPro X
on opening up the image again, the overview memory used now shows 603.646 MB
Exif info just shows all section boxes checked, nothing shows under value.
Properties only tells me it is 243 MB on disc and size

Yes, saving as jpeg.Just realised why there is no exif info, although the latest state of the art technology was probably used,
it may have something to do with the fact that the picture was taken in 1942!

Assuming your war-time shot is worth salvaging, I would still pursue the dpi or pixels per inch.Kenneth Veal wrote:Yes, saving as jpeg.Just realised why there is no exif info, although the latest state of the art technology was probably used, it may have something to do with the fact that the picture was taken in 1942!
Windows Explorer File Properties Details Tab should show the Horizontal (and Vertical) resolution.
Can you set CanoScan to use a smaller resolution?

Re: enlarge image PSPro X
The image was taken before my time and is of a friends grandfather in his uniform, it is in good condition but I want to enlarge it to put in a DVD made with V. Studio.I tried again, scanned it , the scan gear reported its dimensions correctly
(3.62 W, 5 inches high) 1036 W x 1804 pixels H.I altered the % to 200 and the pixels were then 2072x3008.Clicked OK,
this time no messages etc but nothing happened. So now I am back to square one.

Re: enlarge image PSPro X
Do you have any other image editing software on your system? Maybe one of the free ones like Paint.NET? Or you could download http://download.cnet.com/Image-Resizer- ... 05400.html It's a free ap and it works via the right-click menu. Just right-click on the unopened file and select the custom size you want.
I'm at a loss for why PSP X won't re-size your image but if you can re-size it via another software program, you can always take it back into PSP to complete your edits.
