Best Way to learn motion studio 3D

Post by flagpole »

I'm running the demo atm. i'm quite likely to buy it when the trial runs out contingent on being able get rid of quicktime and despite the fact it's 25% more expensive in the UK than the US, if i can get familiar with it in the next two weeks.

i was wondering what resources people had been using to learn it? and off line manual would be quite nice, but it's not the best thing i think for something like this. so i was wondering what people had used.

Experimenting and viewing the tutorials. Open the Corel Guide by clicking on the orange round button in the upper-right corner. By default it opens to the Learn tab. If you're connected to the internet, you should see several video tutorials.

As Ken says "Tutorials". They are very helpful and almost necessary in getting started to find the basic key strokes. Then I found while drawing/making something I could typically find something similar to what I was trying to do in one of the objects that comes with the program.
I simply open a new project, drag the supplied object over and then high light the item or items I wish to "borrow" before doing to ole Ctrl, X and then paste that into my original project, and adjust as needed.
Be warned that it is fun and frustrating at times especially if you are new to this type of software, as I was, but after a little time I felt quite comfortable but am still learning and enjoying the ride. :D

Cheers
