Oh boy..I have the screen shots...but am having trouble uploading to site as it is telling me they are too big....not sure what to do...advice?
if you want an email of them, le me know..
This is the same project. One being created in X2 and the other in X4. As you can see from the settings, the one in X2 is almost 90 min, 1920x1080 at 16,000 bit rate and fits fine on the dual layer DVD. The other is created in X4...same everything...but is way over the limit.
Interesting...both programs yield the same size file--apout 7.96gigs-- but in X4 it shows the project is too big for the disc (way into the red zone) while in X2 it shows I have room to spare.
As I mentioned earlier it is not X4 that is at fault, it is X2 that is rendering the project to a much smaller file size than it should. Don’t ask, cos I don’t know why?????????
Ok try this--------
Video Studio X2
Do not add anything to the Edit timelines
Share Create Disc, take a compliant AVCHD video file and add it to the burner module.
Set the render properties to match the video file.
Any render or conversion should result in the same size as the render properties match the video files properties.
Now open the Project Settings via the Options Cogwheel
With Do Not Convert Compliant selected the green size bar is correct.
Uncheck this option will force the program to render the video.
Notice the Green bar level, it reduces by a lot.
Repeat the above using X4
You are adding the AVCHD within a VSP, this will always cause the burner to render the project.
