Strange, I just had a look and the download button is active on the Trial download tab. It should install the Akami installer first. Once the Download manager (Akami) is installed, you will then get the link to download the MS3D TBYB installer file. I'm downloading it now.

Managed to get it downloaded and installed. I will say that this process is on the slow side. So don't get impatient. It will ask you to register before being able to use it. Please note, this registration is for using the trial (TBYB) and should not be confused with registering your purchased version.

I also want to point out that Corel MotionStudio 3D only provides you with a 15 day Trial, unlike the other products that allow for 30 days.

I am interested in this Akami installer business. I am currently downloading what I thought was the TBYB version, and it is 405 MB in size. That can't just be Akami, can it???

Yes it was. And it installed without any mention of an Akami installer. So I wonder what is going on with those who had to first install the installer...?

It looks like there is no upgrade discount available for those of us who already bought Cool 3D and Cool 3D Production Studio?

This appears to be a revival of Cool 3D with new features added + a new interphase. I Wish Corel would revive DVD Workshop too.

You're right of course, although personally, as a long time user of Cool 3D Production Studio, I don't think the user interface has changed all that much. But the program is slicker and SOOOO much faster... And though it's $99, that is still so much cheaper than DVD Workshop ever was. And I am afraid that's why I think they are unlikely to consider resurrecting Workshop: there are quite a few diehard fans, but unlikely ever to be enough for Corel to consider their bottom line has been protected by selling a few new Workshop programs...

I notice there is a forum for MotionStudio 3D now but when I tried to look at it, I got a message that I don't have permission to read posts in that forum.

I had a look at the permissions, and changed them. Hopefully everyone can read and post here now. I also split all these posts off the Announcement putting them in a separate topic.
