MOV video format will not work

MOV video format will not work
I have been using Video Studio Pro 4 and was always able to insert, play and record to dvd the MOV file format. All of a sudden I am getting an VS 4 will not let me add Mov files to the time line. How can I fix this? Thanks.

Which version of Quicktime do you have installed. With X4, I have updated to the latest version of QT and it works fine. But some users have found they can only use the version (7.5.5) which comes in the VS installation package.

Just like what Ken said, this can be a codec issue. Better update your quicktime, you can get the latest QT version at http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/

Abiel -- I didn't say that at all!! He may already have the latest version installed, and that in itself may be the problem. In that case, reverting to an earlier version may be the solution...

I had 7.5.5 installed and the updater prompted me to update to the latest version 7.7. That is what caused the problem. I went back to 7 5 5 and everything it fine. Thanks for the help.
