I used trial x2 and x3, but after upgrading to X4 and bought it, it became very slow when making videos. Takes over 2 hours to make a simple vid in mpg 480*320
Or other formats for that sake..
Could it be related to my other video plugins installed in windows? ffdshow ?

Re: VS X4: very slow when making videos
Welcome to the forums.
Unfortunately, we simply do not have enough information to be able to make even a reasonable guess at a solution. In particular, we also have no idea what your video format is, and what kind of camcorder or other device was used to film it. Though you might think it is a 'simple video', something with a 480 x 320 frame size might be small, but it does not really conform to any of the usual formats.
Please have a look at this sticky post at the top of this forum -- it is called, indicatively, PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE POSTING http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?p=41454#p41454 Then get back to us with the information requested and hopefully someone will be able to help.
We especially need to know where the video came from and its exact Properties (right click on one of the files in the timeline or in the VS library window). And give us some idea what editing you did and your exact workflow in producing the new video. What are you trying to produce with it: something for the internet or for a DVD?

Re: VS X4: very slow when making videos
Hi Ken, and thanks for reading and answer
The videos i make is pretty simple
I use a JPG image as the video and put my own music to it (hobby musician)
It could be simple mp3 files or wav files, i use the text editor to put on titles.
Here's a example of a video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vy_1e5F6jeU
Sound files can be simple 128 kbits mp3's (Or wav's)
If i put on a my vids i filmed by my android or other amateur cams, same slow method.
I remember X2 was kinda faster on my output vids. I usally want the simple vmw files outpout, but i tried most of them.
U can say, i most of the time i use sound files, put together a picture or a simple mpeg file and want to publish to youtube.
Thanks again

There are many factors why it takes too long to create a video files, the one that's a big factor is the files that you are working on, processor, RAM, Graphics card and system resources of your computer. So it's best that you complete the information requested by Ken and the propertied of the video file that you are working on.
