Problems animating created 3D object

Post by P21edit »

Hello:
I am using Cool 3D 3.0 and am trying to create a short animated sequence for a video I'm doing wherein the camera circles around a length of pipe with a valve (I create the object), then goes through the pipe to reveal a title. I create the pipe from 7 different elements (they are grouped) and the valve from 3 different elements (they are grouped). I created both elements on frame 1. When I finished creating them, I went to start the animation. I changed the total number of frames to 300 and the fps to 30 for a 10 second animation. I set the camera where I want it on frame 1 and then proceed to frame 90 for a 3 second camera move. I reposition the camera and it adds a keyframe. The only problem is that the pipe part of the object goes all out of whack. I made sure both elements are selected under the group heading. The valve handle doesn't move, only the pipe. For some reason it created its own animation for the pipe. Sorry for the long explanation, but what I'm asking is, is there any way to get rid of the spontaneous animation that the program created? I tried looking through the coordinates on the 1st and 300th frame to no avail. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hmm, that's an odd one....

I would go through the various different time lines (rotation, scale, position) and make sure you don't have any extra key frames floating around.
