Encoding question

Post by hypr »

When I encode the audio is muffled (I am encoding in AVI) then when I fix it up it seems out of sync, how do I fix this I have the usb instant video CD what should I get if it is a problem with the stuff (I can return it for a capture card)

Should I update Video Studio 8 ?

I suspect it's the capture device, another user with the same device is having the same muffled audio problem -- see THIS thread.

what should I do about the video and sound being out of sync ? (When I switch to another application it goes back to normal that probably makes it out of sync or trying to switch sound)

ADS Technologies Instant DVD Xpress USB 2.0

has Capture audio and video via the USB port with “Audio-Lock” technology for perfect lip synch as its feature

hyper,
Your capture box (usb instant video CD) is a piece of junk. Its performance is limited to very low video resolution and apparently has audio problems. You are the third person who has reported problems in the past week.

See if you can exchange it for the ADS Instant DVD Xpress USB 2.0 or the Instant DVD2 box, both of which are capable of full resolution direct capture to mpeg2.

DVD Xpress

if you have the choice, go with the DVD Xpress. In the U.S., I've seen them for $50 (after rebate) at CompUSA

Sorry for double posting I have another question

I wasn't able to get ADS Technologies Instant DVD Xpress USB 2.0 out of stock until Monday :(

How is the WinTV PVR in the range of quality of getting stuff recorded as I want my video and audio in sync I don't want a characters mouth to move then their voice to come after.
