PSP X3 Photo Pro Continually Requests an Install

When I open another application that contains images (e.g., Picasa3 or Microsoft ICE) a pop-up appears that says, "Please wait while Windows configures PSP X3." Then it says "Gathering required information." It asks me to insert the install disk. If I do this it UNINSTALLS PSP X3 without prompting from me. If I hit Cancel several times, eventually the popups stop.

I uninstalled and installed X3 Pro as requested by Corel and I have installed all the PSPX3_Patches 1-4, the Cleanup Utility that Corel sent me and the Patch_3 Bug Recovery. None of these worked. Any suggestions?
