Nik Color Effex & PSPX4
These are excellent filters with many options. I use the Capture NX version alot. It would be great to have them in PSPX4 as well. The key question is;" Do we get the CONTROL POINT technology that is usually part of this when used as a plug in ??"

The PSP X4 Ultimate include the Nik® Color Efex Pro™ 3.0 in its ultimate bonus pack and checking niksoftware web site, Color Efex Pro 3.0 Filter List can be found at http://www.niksoftware.com/cepnx/usa/en ... ters.shtml. If your previous version of PSP is from Corel® Paint Shop Pro® Photo X2 or higher (Standard or Ultimate) then you are eligible for the upgrade price of PSP X4 Ultimate.

I completely forgot all about them until I saw this thread.
Just checked them out and they do indeed seem pretty cool.
I'll have to play around with them later tonight.

Re: Nik Color Effex & PSPX4
Is it the select edition or complete edition of the Nik Software? Or is it a sampler pack like what came with X2?
Re: Nik Color Effex & PSPX4
is the version supplied with PSP X4 eligible for upgrade to Color EFEX Pro 4 ? (as per the Nik site)

Just tried it - yes you do with the "Complete" but not the "Corel Sampler" - so you'll need the Ultimate X4 not "vanilla"

Re: Nik Color Effex & PSPX4
That is VERY GOOD NEWS !
For those who don't know the Control point technology, it enable easy selective control of the relevant filter or function. CEP3 ia superb set of funnctions, adding enormously toto the usefulness of PSPPX4. A real bargain, because they cost ,in the NX2 version 139 euros on their own .
